College Colors Day

Are you ready for some football?!?!? If so, then don't forget to wear the colors of your alma mater tomorrow in honor of the start of college football - aka The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

The Mister and I are READY! College football officially kicks off (no pun intended) tonight. We'll be tuned in to the SC v. NC State game tonight and I'm preparing "tailgate food" just for the occasion! (We aren't fans of either team, we're just soo darn excited for the official start of college football!)

Tomorrow, both The Mister and I will be sporting black & gold in honor of our shared alma mater (and the place we fell in love) the University of Central Florida. GO KNIGHTS!

I'll also be sporting a little orange & blue for my other alma mater, the University of Florida. GO GATORS! The Gators won three National Championships while I attended law school at UF (one in football and two in basketball) so becoming a Gator fan came pretty easy! While my first love will always be UCF, I have to admit that there's nothing better than SEC football, particularly when the Gators are dominating the conference!

The Mister, on the other hand, had the misfortune of attending graduate school at sad little university with a much less successful football program. Perhaps you've heard of it - Florida State University? :) Florida and Florida State play each other every year and Florida has spanked the Seminoles each and every year since The Mister and I began attending and rooting for these rival teams. I sure have enjoyed that!

We dont' have a flag like this. I think they're kind of lame. (Not yours, yours is awesome.) But it illustrates the point.

Come Saturday, we'll be setting up the tent, rolling out the coolers and getting ready to cheer on our UCF Knights at Brighthouse Networks Stadium. Thank God for College Football! Best of luck to all of you and your teams - unless they're playing the Knights or the Gators! :)
