Golden Globes

It's Wishful Wednesday at The Seattle Smiths.  If you don't know what Wishful Wednesday is all about, head over to Kelsey's blog and check it out.  This is my first time participating in Wishful Wednesday and what a fun topic - Golden Globe Gowns!

'I wish'... I could have worn the gown Lea Michele wore at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards!

As soon as I saw her on the red carpet in this dreess, I fell in love. Doesn't she look phenomenal in her Oscar de la Renta gown? It meets all my criteria for a fabulous dress - it's black {hello slimming}, emphasizes the waist and hides the rear. And the feathers? Oh, how I do love those feathers.

And while I realize it wasn't part of Wishful Wednesday....while I'm wishing for things, I'd also like to look like Meryl Streep when I'm 60.  She is just gorgeous.

What was your favorite dress at the Golden Globes?

AGREED! Lea Michele was best dressed of the night in my book! She looked great. My runner-up was Reese Witherspoon. Her dress was a great color.

I am a new follower. I am going to check out more of your blog after I post this. Nice to meet you and glad you played with us this week. I LOVE LEA. I think the entire Glee class is far too good looking for their own good. I have a big crush on Mr. Schuster!

I thought Lea Michele's dress was the best too! Although apparently there was a lot of criticism that it was too dressy for the Globes...which I didn't think so. Loved it.

I loved all the dresses EXCEPT for Tina Fey. That is a bummer because I love her!

Lea Michele looked great! She wore the dress so well! My favorite was a fellow Glee actress -- Dianna Agron's! Loved that one!

Great choice! And I so agree about Meryl Streep!

My favorite part of the Golden Globes had nothing to do with the dresses or the awards but instead with a certain E! host (who I've fallen in love with since I began watching Giuliana & Bill) who made an ass out of herself. She was tossing to break and promised to have George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis back for an interview. Instead of going to break the cameras stayed on her as she SHOUTED "GEORGE! GEORGE!". Then in even worse form she started shouting at his girlfriend IN ITALIAN! She turned back to the camera, noticed she was still in the TV screen and said, "We're still on!?!?! Oh that's embarrassing." I wish I could find the video online ....
