Happy Feet

At long last, the wait is over. They're here! My beautiful, sparkly Tory Burch Lissie Strass ballet flats have arrived.

If you recall, in what was intended to be a joke, I asked Santa for these little beauties a few weeks ago. {Along with a White Christmas in Florida and a fountain Diet Coke machine for my kitchen. I got neither, as expected.} What I did not expect, was to find the elusive TB flats under the Christmas tree.

Why didn't I expect them? Well, for one, before the blog post, I hadn't told anyone that I was pining after them. Also, I specifically waited until four days before Christmas to post any kind of wish list, as my parents read this blog and are over-the-top, crazy generous gift givers. And this is without the benefit of any kind of list. I knew a wish list would just increase the madness, so I waited to post until just before Christmas when they'd be too busy getting ready for my brother's wedding to notice. Second, I knew the shoes were impossible to locate. They weren't available online {or so I thought} and Neiman's didn't have them in stock in my size. So, I thought it was safe to post the list.

I was wrong.

My mom read the blog, found the shoes on Nordstrom's website and had them shipped via 2-day air. She's a ninja like that.

Christmas morning I squealed with delight as I unwrapped them. I tore them from the box and promptly placed them on my feet. {They looked hot with my pjs. Trust me.} Unfortunately, I didn't get off the couch before I realized they had arrived damaged, with jewels missing from the logo. I had to mail them back to Nordstrom and wait for them to ship me a replacement pair.

Now that they're here & I've been reunited with my shoes, I am a happy, happy, camper.

Thanks Mom - I love my new shoes!

And while it wasn't a white Christmas is Florida it might snow in Orlando this weekend which is close enough to a Christmas miracle. So once you get that fountain diet coke machine the list will be complete!
