keepin' it klassy

I did something tonight that would make Martha Stewart cry.

After dinner, I had a very specific craving for Peanut Butter Blossoms.

One problem - I didn't have any Hershey Kisses in the house.

So I improvised.

While I didn't have any Hershey Kisses, I did have fun size Hershey's bars.  I'm sure you're thinking to yourself "That's not that bad.  It's still chocolate."

I'm not finished.

The Hershey's bars were left over... from Halloween. {Hopefully Halloween 2009.  I'm really not sure.}

I'm sure I should be ashamed.  Not only did I have 9+ month old candy in my house, I ate it.  But you know what, I'm not. The cookies were delicious.

Sorry, Martha.

*I've been test driving names for these.  I was thinking "Klassy with a 'K' Cookies".  Or maybe GHPBs (GHetto Peanut-butter Blossoms). Suggestions are welcomed.

First I'd like to know how chocolate lasted 9 months in your house? That is serious will power.
Secondly, I vote "9 month blossoms" Ha! A girls got to do what a girls got to do! :)

Those look amazing!! I think candy stays good forever. I'm pretty sure the Easter candy I've been eating over the last month was NOT from Easter this year.

You should be proud that you can keep chocolate in your house for 9 months...it wouldn't stand a chance at mine.

PS Now I am hungry for PB Blossoms too!!

I've totally done the exact same thing before. I like the later of your suggested names for them ;)

mmmmm. those cookies are the shit! Now i'm going to make some! The only thing I have to improvise with is chocolate chips? We can start a whole line of these cookies with different varieties! Still working on the name...

I say screw Martha - this is genius. It's all about making something delicious with what's on hand.

P.S. Desserts are my weakness..averting eyes from delicious cookies.

You should name them, like, baby blossoms or something- they DID take 9 months to come around :)

I can't believe you even have 9 month old chocolate in your house! Those wouldn't have lasted a week in my house! :)
