The Emmys are over. I feel a bit like a kid on the day after Christmas. The excitement is over but boy, was it fun while it lasted.
My red carpet favorites:
Lauren Graham was bagged by the critics but I think the look is fashion forward and gorgeous. I loved her gladiator sandals too!
Not in love with the hairstyle, but I think Rose Byrne looks stunning in this Gucci dress.
Gorgeous. Navy was definitely the color of the evening. I think Julie Bowen looks great for a woman of any age!
Amy Pohler gave birth THREE WEEKS AGO. Seriously? Amazing.
Jennifer Carpenter looks stunning. I'd die for that body.
I loved the simplicity of Kyra Sedgwick's gown.
I loved Jenna Fischer's dress and hair. I thought the whole look was spot on.
My favorite moments of the show:
Everything about Jimmy Fallon hosting, Jim Parsons winning Best Actor in a Comedy Series {!!!}, Eric Stonestreet winning Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series {and Jesse Tyler Ferguson's tears}, Jane Lynch bringing home the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Modern Family winning for Best Comedy. And Clooney. Of course, Clooney!
I wish Dexter would have taken the award for Best Drama and I would have loved to see Amy Pohler recognized for her hilarious work on Parks & Recreation last year. And I could have done without the extension of Kate Gosselin's 15 minutes of fame. Loved the opening number but did we really have to include her? Ick.
Overall, I thought it was a great show honoring a great year of TV. I'm more excited than ever for all my favorite shows to return this fall. What were your favorite Emmy moments?

I have a list of "Red Carpet Misses". Did you see what Rita Wilson was wearing? It was HORRIFIC. Looked like she had chandeliers on her feet!
Jenna and Julie looked great. I loved Lea's dress too.
I'm with you on the opening scene - it was all awesome except for Kate Gosselin. Just. Go. Away.

I totally missed the Emmys on Sunday (hangs head in shame). Damn it! But I did check out all the dresses yesterday online. You picked some of my favorites too. Loved Jenna's dress - I'm not usually a fan of her red carpet looks but she was beautiful. Also loved Jen Carpenter and Kyra. Plus, you know I have a total Lorelai Gilmore obsession, so I LOVED Lauren Graham!
I'm loving all the new styles! I could have also done without Kate altogether. Ugh.
