A more appropriate title for this post might be "Things I'm embarrassed about today...but obviously not embarrassed enough to prevent me from sharing them with the interwebs."
- An old Britney Spears song came on my iPod {I'm talking her first CD here people}...and I didn't skip to the next song.
- There's a basket full of clean laundry sitting in my living room waiting to be folded. It's been there since Sunday.
- I took half of my sandwich home from lunch today. I ate it at my desk at about 3:30. My office now smells like a Chicken Pesto Sandwich. I'm praying to 8lb 6oz newborn baby Jesus no one comes in to talk to me and realizes I've been pigging out in here. I wonder what it's like to have willpower...
- I purchased a frame for my law school diploma yesterday. I graduated four years ago.
- It seems I lost a pair of sandals. I have no idea where they are or how a person loses shoes. But I've done it. Wonder where they'll show up.
- I've spent an ungodly amount of time on my fantasy football teams this week. {Yes, I said teams - plural.} Like, a stupid amount of time. And guess what - they still suck.
- This book was delivered to my house:
Yeah...it's a Baby Sitters Club book. Was anyone else completely obsessed with these as a kid? I read them voraciously. When I saw that Ann M. Martin had released a new BSC book - well, I just had to read it. And I'm not {too} embarrassed to admit it.
Anyone else want to share any embarrassing tidbits with the group? Bueller? Bueller?

This made me laugh. I love this post! And a new BSC? I'm going to have to look into it! Did you ever read the Sweet Valley High books? There's a new one coming out and I'm not too embarrassed to get it!
um loved baby sitter's club! and I think there was one called BSC little sitters or something like that. Loved that one too! I owned sooooo many of their books, and had the movie. No shame here :)
I've come thisclose to buying that book but just haven't yet. Hope you enjoy it.
I lose shoes all the time. I'm convinced there's a shoe gnome in our house that snatches my shoes!
That books looks fabulous!! I loved the babysitters club!! Let me know how it is!
I just folded a basket full of J's shirts that have been sitting in our laundry room for a good 2 weeks last night.
No shoe gnome, but we do have Casper in our house that steals socks.
And I did just realize that I only own 2 pairs of normal socks (not gym shortie socks) last night. Who owns only 2 pairs of socks? I live in Washington folks...
OMG!!! I loved the baby-sitters club. they were my all time favorite books to read. I just recently sold all mine at our garage sale. i have kept them this long. aww brings back so many memories. :)
Babysitters Club was the best! I wanted to be them!
I LOVED the BSC, and don't have will power either (I may have eaten about 5 dove chocolates today....along with my lunch)
I LOVED the BSC books when I was younger - I wanted to be like some combination of Stacey and Claudia when I "grew up." Haha! (Really, I'm way more like Mary Ann ... post makeover. But with long hair.)
Anyway ... I have the best lost clothing story EVER. In college, my best friend lost the swimsuit that she borrowed from me. She had NO IDEA where it was. About a month and a half later, it turned up on a shelf in the university bookstore. We were like WHAT??? It was crazy :) Hopefully your sandals are somewhere a little more practical and slightly less embarrassing...
I too have a basket full of laundry that was done on Sunday, however I've kept mine in the dryer and have just been going to the dryer for underwear all week... And last night I threw away a tupperware full of gross food b/c I didn't want to clean it out. So, yeah I know how ya feel...
Hahah, so funny that you got the new BSC book. Is it a whole new crew, or the same characters?
A new BSB book! I am so all about this!
Laundry is the worse!! If they could create a system that transfers your clothes from the washer to the dryer and then folds them and put them in the appropriate place that would be awesome.
I think its cute you are addicted to fantasy football!!
I read all kinds of books in past years, Sweet Valley High, Camp Sunyside...I think BSC was one also!
I LOVED the Baby Sitters Club! Let us know if it's good!
Hahaha, I was OBSESSED with The Babysitters Club!!! I was a pretty avid reader of the Goosebumps series too :/
I have something more embarassing than losing your shoes. We lost the broom at our house. No, really! Seriously, how in the world do you lose a broom? It's not something you would ever bring with you out of the house. It's been over a month (yes, we haven't swept in a month. I did run the vacuum over the tile if that makes it better) and it still hasn't shown up.
Oh my, we really are twins. I adored the Baby-Sitters Club. I read every single book at least 3 times. My favorite was the one where they went on vacation with the family they were babysitting. I used to dream about someone wanting to take me on a beach vacation to watch their kids! Only I was terrible with kids and never babysat, so not sure how that would have happened. But a girl can dream, right?
Also, I still do not have a frame for my law school diploma. Nor my undergrad diploma. I don't even know where they are. That's terrible.
I "cleaned" my room yesterday by just throwing everything in the closet, only because my mom is coming to town. Then last night the future husband and myself drank 3 pitchers of beer at mellow mushroom...just the 2 of us...that might be a problem...
This list is just fabulous! Babysitters Club!!!!! I have boxes at my parents house that contain every single babysitters club book---- well I thought so anyway.. I need to go google this new book!
I can't believe there is a BSC book out! I read like, every single one! Loved.them. Also, I have also managed to lose a pair of shoes, my everyday black flats...how is this possible? I wear them basically everyday, WHERE can they be?
I was also completely obsessed with the Baby Sitters Club series. I decided Connecticut was my favorite state based solely on the books taking place there - I read the Super series, the mystery series - I had them all. I still have them all in a box. I can't bring myself to sell them.
I didn't know there was a new BSC book! How was it? I LOVED these! I even had a BSC themed birthday party one year!
The Babysitters Club! Of course I've read/used to read them. I'm going to check my library for the new one, yay!
