Continuing with my "best of 2010" lists, today's topic is near and dear to my heart - TV. Lord knows, I watch plenty of it. But I've managed to narrow my list of favorites down to five. (No small feat for a TV junkie like myself.) Here are the highlights of my 2010 television season:
30 Rock (and by 30 Rock I mean Tina Fey) just keeps getting better and better. No half hour of television makes me laugh harder.
January 20, 2011, Parks & Recreation returns. Oh happy day! I cannot get enough of this hilarious, off-beat show. It's what The Office wishes it still was.
Simply put, I love this show. The ensemble cast is excellent and it's such an honest portrayal of family.
Community has to be the best show no one is watching. It's smart, it's funny and it's entirely under-appreciated. I only hope it can gain a large enough following to keep it on the air.
I have a bit of a confession. I used to refer to Sons of Anarchy as "that stupid motorcycle show." I would sit on the couch and blog or read while B watched and I'd make the occasional snarky comment about the stupid motorcycle show. One day, I found myself actually paying attention to what was happening on the screen. At the end of the episode, I looked at B and said "I'm obsessed with the stupid motorcycle show." I haven't missed an episode since. The acting is superb and the plot will suck you right in. And Jax Teller isn't half bad to look at either.
Because I'm truly TV obsessed, I couldn't resist a few honorable mentions:

Couldn't agree more about Parks and Rec. So glad its coming back!
We got a Blueray for Christmas and can stream netflix through it and started watching Friday Night Lights from the beginning. Its pretty amazing. If you ever get the chance to start it over from the beginning I recommend!
The Good Wife and Modern Family are in my top 10. And Gossip Girl. Such guilty pleasure tv.

Parks and Recreation is hilarious! I just got into it and I love. Parenthood is awesome. You listed some great shows!
Love your picks, Parks is hilarous! I haven't watched the last one, what channel is it on? I'm pretty upset with the tv people right now :) They cancelled almost EVERY freaking show they brought out {The Whole Truth, Lonestar, Outlaw} ugh, I hate loving a show and it just gets cancelled. Yet the keep Undercovers, dumbest show ever! Are you watching Dexter, LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I couldn't agree more about Community. Good lord we love that show....
First of all , I could peruse SomeEcards.com for HOURS.
I never got into Parenthood or Sons of Anarchy, but I've heard they're both great! And I guess it's not too late to start watching.
Such as I did this season with Glee. I didn't watch any of the first, but holy crap I am majorly in love with it now. I seriously tear up during every episode, which I don't think is the intention Or the normal reaction, but I'm mushy. Can't help it!

Ok, we've totally got the same taste in tv. Love 30 Rock, it makes me mad that so many ppl don't watch it. Parks and Rec - brilliant (how great was DJ Roomba?!?) I'm in the same boat as you on Glee, need to see the 1st season now! Modern Fam and The League are totally in my top 3! And the one I'd have to add is Cougar Town... I know don't judge. It's actually really funny!
