I love lists.
Grocery lists, to-do lists, Christmas lists, best dressed lists - I love them all.
I love the organization, the prioritization. An orderly ranking of items just makes me happy. Even more, I like checking things off lists. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. Even if is just striking a line through "Pick up Diet Coke at Target."
To my nerdy delight, the end of the year seems to prompt people to make lists. Christmas wish lists are distributed. Goals and resolutions for the upcoming year are made. Magazines publish countless "10 Best" lists.
In the spirit of reflection, I'll be posting some year end lists of my own. If you give a hoot about my favorite books, TV shows and movies of 2010...stay tuned.
