I haven't cooked a meal in nearly two weeks. Brian cooked once last week but other than that it's been mostly sandwiches, take-out and cereal around here. Sadly, I don't think either us has missed the home-cooking. We've both been pretty happy with Chick-fil-A and Cheerios. Nevertheless, it's time we started eating healthier meals at home. So, today I planned a menu for the week and hit the grocery store.
Here's what we're eating this week:
Asian Turkey Meatballs with PW's Asian Noodle Salad (the dressing is to die for!)
Turkey Sausage & Spinach Stuffed Shells (inspired by Giada) with Salad
Pulled Pork Sandwiches (using leftover carnitas) with French Fries and Corn
Pulled Pork Sandwiches (using leftover carnitas) with French Fries and Corn
Thai Basil Chicken and Rice
I also have an amazing dessert planned for this week - Apple Streusel Cheesecake. {drool!} If it turns out as good as I'm hoping it will, I'll share the recipe.
Are you cooking this week?

Not much cooking here girl! I try to cook once a week and luckily now that the weather is warming up the hubby has been grilling a couple of times a week. Wait til that precious baby girl comes along... You'll just want to spend every minute with her and forget about the kitchen!
I NEED to cook this week. But for some reason I just haven't had the energy! I definitely want to try the pork recipe you posted. It sounds delicious!
Oh my goodnes, all these recipes sound SO good! I'm hoping to cook this week, that's about as good as I can do. Ryan's going to a few baseball games this week, so those nights I plan on eating crap (i.e. box o' mac & cheese and bottle o' wine) in front of the TV. Fancy, huh?
I AM cooking this week! I'm cooking I think 3 meals this week because they'll have leftovers, but they're all new recipes. I can't wait to make them!
I'm so glad to hear we aren't the only people who go days on end doing sandwiches, take-out, left-overs. Sometimes we are running around in the evening and it just makes no sense to make a big meal.
i am going to have to try that asian meatball recipe-- yumm!! good luck with the cooking! (oh and ps-- i love chick-fil-a too, so don't feel too bad, hehe)
This post made me hungry. Let me know what you think of the carnitas. I made them once and really enjoyed them.
Umm yeah, I haven't "cooked" in weeks. I will not be breaking that trend tonight, however. I was going to, but, I have a headache and I really don't feel like going to the grocery store after work. Wife of the year, huh?
