It's Friday - hallelujah! But it's also Tax Day. Unfortunately, we're making a very generous contribution to the federal government today. Insert sad face here. In an effort to focus on the positive (and because I have nothing else to say today) here are a few random happies:
*B and I made a Krispy Kreme run after dinner last night. Sinful? Yes. But also heavenly.
*B's favorite is the chocolate iced custard filled and mine is the chocolate iced glazed. We each got one for dessert last night and one for breakfast this morning. And an extra glazed because you just have to get one of the warm, fresh donuts when the "hot" sign is flashing. It's a rule.
However, let me serve as a cautionary tale. Eating too much crap like donuts is how you end up looking like this.
No, that's not a pumpkin. That's my giant donut baby bump. Baby girl has really popped out lately and I'm feeling large and in charge.
*But back to my Friday happies... I'm loving Darren Criss' song "Not Alone," particularly this live performance. And oh my word is he a cutie! That bow tie kills me.
*My night stand is full of good reading material. The library dropped a stack of great books on my doorstep and the April issue of Southern Living is waiting to be read. I need to spend some time by the pool or in the hammock this weekend so I can put a dent in my stack.
*Parks & Rec was hilarious last night! I loved the surprise wedding.
*And finally....I'm making some progress on baby girl's crib bedding. I've been searching high and low for the right bedding and have ordered a stack of fabric swatches. I have a few "maybes" and one set I'm very excited about but still waiting on the fabric swatch for that one to arrive. I'm hoping to have all my swatches in hand by next weekend so I can show them to my mom & sister and make a decision. I can't wait to get going with her nursery!
Hope you have a great Friday and a fun weekend!

That Krispy Kreme box is so beautiful, it about brought a tear to my eye. All of our stores have closed up, so it feels like forever since I've enjoyed one. And I love your bedding samples for your daughter. They look so sweet!
I want to come down there and help decorate her room!! you should do a monogram mirror like Kristen @ all my twenties did, but do it in white obvi. it would be precious!
OK so i have to tell you something...you're going to love this, too!! Compared to all "pastries and sweets" a krispy kreme original glazed is one of the best things you can eat if you decided to give in to the sweet tooth--they're only 150 calories a piece...and yes, I did my ressearch ;)
Ohhh, love those fabris swatches! So pretty.
My college dorm was down the street from a Krispy Kreme. EVIL. My roommate and I would seriously sit outside and wait for the light to come on and then zip on over for doughnuts. Umm... Not my proudest moments, but, you're only 19 once, yes?!
How did you know I've been craving a donut all morning? This is torture! Thankfully lunch is just an hour away.
I love the fabric swatches. Can't wait to see the end result.
OMG, you are not even showing!!! Wear a tight shirt please-I need to see the baby bump in tighter clothes so I don't feel so massive. :)
xoxo
You look great!
Oh dear, we are making a hefty contribution to the tax man today too. And I'm not happy about it. Good luck with picking out your bedding fabric. I think that would be so much fun! Have a great weekend.
Krispie Kremes, nursery fabrics AND baby bump pictures??!! You have made my Friday!! Thanks love! The fabrics are gorgeous - love the stripes and the polka dots. Can't wait to see what you choose. And how's the great name debate going? Any decisions yet?
Happy Weekend! Those kripsy kremes look incredible (and terrible at the same time...). Ha! Your bump looks adorable!
Yummm... I haven't had a crispy cream donut in way too long! And your baby bump is adorable!! Just as the pink swatches for the bedding are :)
You look gorgeous!!
I can't wait to see the finished nursery, it's going to be just so precious!
Those doughnuts are killing me...I WANT.
I love the grouping of fabrics on the bottom of the picture. I love the floral paired with the stripes :)
I asked my friend Marci yesterday "is it creepy that when I'm looking for design inspiration, I get the biggest urge to want to decorate a nursery?" (seeing as though I'm about far away from the possibility of a baby as one gal can be.)
I just love all the possibilities with little ones! It's like you get a second chance to get the childhood room you always wanted!
Have a good weekend!
PS You look pregnant. It's ok to look "bigger" when you've got a bun in the oven!
Those Krispy Kreme donuts made my mouth water! :) Have a great weekend!
I totally almost titled my post today "Friday Happiness" before reading yours...funny!
Love donuts and love the possible choices for baby girl's nursery - precious!
LOVE the nursery fabrics!! and the cripsy coke machine you got in the office! Jealous!
Now I'm craving Krsipy Kreme!! Also, love the fabric swatches--I'm a sucker for gingham!
I'm totally dying for a Krispy Kreme (or 2) now, but thankfully we don't have them here so I'm forced to stick to cereal.
I'm loving all of the fabric swatches, and can't wait to see then nursery come together.
