That's my bathroom. And that's a stool. I had to drag it from the kitchen and sit in it while I did my hair and make up this morning. Seriously. After my shower, I was just too tired to stand up and get ready. I finally made it into work at the shameful hour of 9:45am.
After a few hours at the office, I went to my now weekly doctor's appointment...and nearly fell off the exam table trying to sit on it. Brian caught me as I stumbled down. I then proceeded to sweat my arse off as I sat there waiting for the doctor. I'm pretty sure I left a puddle of sweat behind on the paper covered exam table. Classy.
After the appointment, Brian took me to Chick-fil-A for lunch. It was delish. But not so delish that I didn't stop at Krispy Kreme on the way back to work. Because that's what you need after fast food for lunch.
It's now 1:42pm. I've been awake for approximately five and a half hours and all I want to do is go back to sleep.
FOR SHAME.
Why am I telling you all this? I have no idea. Exhaustion? Stupidity? An attempt to put off work for a few more minutes?
Or, as Murray says, " 'Cause I'm keeping it real."
Hope you're all doing better than I am today! Although, come to think of it, I have donuts. (Yes, plural.) My day is looking up!
*10 points if you caught the reference to the greatest television show ever made.

Cause I'm keepin' it real! Love it!! Last weekend (? or the weekend before) I laid on the couch and watched Clueless in it's entirety. Love that movie soo much!!
Sorry you're so tired (and clumsy and hot and everything else)! The good thing? You have a great reason for it all!
This post made me smile! I love that you are keeping it real!
It's taken you this long to bring a stool into the bathroom?! I had to bring one in (both times) at about 8 months. Something about those 15-25 minutes made it seem like an eternity. Oh and to comiserate with the heat at the doc's office, one time I was there and literally nearly passed out because their A/C was broken. Seriously! What's worse than a bunch of overheated pregnant women? I guess a bunch of passed out pregnant women (:
LOVE Clueless and get made fun of over and over for claiming it's my favorite movie.
Oh my gosh I LOVE the Clueless reference. I can totally hear him saying it right now ha!
I hope you get some much needed rest and enjoy those donuts! :)
Haha! you crack me up! I hope the Krispy Kreme makes your day better! If not, take a knee and ride out the clock while watching youtube on your phone! :)
Hang in there!!
I love that you went to Chick-Fil-A and Krispy Kreme!! That is so totally what I would do!!! And yeah, I'm 5 months, and keep a chair in my bathroom permanently!!
1. You are so SO close!!!
2. Love the Clueless reference.
3. I did my hair sitting on my bedroom floor from 9 weeks until G was a few weeks old. Ridiculous.
4. Ben and I get krispy kreme do it's all. the. time. And I'm not pregnant.
Say Ambular... was that you going through my laundry again?
bahahha.
Sweetie you are almost there! xoxox
at least you have an excuse/reason, I show up late, almost fall, and eat fast food twice a day all the time.... I'm just lazy and hungry what can I say?!
hope the rest of your day was smoother! :)
Ahhh!!! I sweat giant puddles every single time I sit on that awful paper at the doctor's office. Totally embarrassing as I am picking paper pieces off of my hiney.
I must admit this has been my entire week and I'm not even pregnant! I went into work an hour late and left an hour early. Thank goodness for this bottle of Simply Naked Chardonnay I am downing right now! BTW, what the heck is up with this heat?!?!?? UGH
Wait, it isn't normal to sit in front of the mirror in the bathroom to get ready? Umm.. I do that all the time and I am definitely not pregnant. I guess just lazy? Thanks for the Clueless throw back!
Keep it real, lady! I'm not there yet, but I will be soon. And by that I mean, I don't yet have to sit to do my hair ... But I would totally eat Chick-fil-A and Krispy Kreme for lunch.
You are my hero. Stopping by Krispy Kreme after Chick Fil A? I think I love you.
You rock. xo
You are hilarious. I sit to get ready too because blow drying takes it out of me. You eat that Chick Fil A and KK! You deserve it.
I'm pretty sure Clueless had a severe sociological impact on my 5th grade mind. An impact that I'm friggin grateful for. Loved the reference. Glad you're allowing yourself the rest you need- some of us sit in front of the mirror sans baby in belly :) MademoiselleMichael
