Wu-hoo

Move over, Missoni. Target has announced its next bargain-priced designer collection.

Jason Wu is creating a limited edition line for Target, which will be in stores February 5th. If you recall, Jason Wu became famous after First Lady Michelle Obama wore one of his gowns to the Inaugural Ball. The line, which will feature items priced $60 and less, is reported to be 60's inspired.

Other than the gowns worn by Mrs. O, I'm not too familiar with Wu's collections but I'm interested to see what he puts together for Target. I wonder if the First Lady will make a return trip to Tar-jay to scoop us some discount Wu?

Do you think the Wu collection will cause the same crazed reaction the Missoni line did?

I'm honestly not into any of the designer collections at Target, but they always intrigue me. Jason Wu is amazing. And the First Lady's dress... I DIE. Every time I see it at the Smithsonian I tear up. That's a benefit of living in DC, actually... any time I need a happy cry, I just go to the Smithsonian!

I heard that Kate Spade may be doing something for Target, too...have you heard that?

Another designer I've long adored, and will probably still never own, since jerks that have never heard of Missoni, Jason Wu, etc, will scoop it all up and overcharge for it on eBay. Ugh. I am very curious to see this collection though..
